Mr. Chamroeun DOUNG
Director, Assurance PwC Cambodia
Chamroeun is an assurance director with more than 12 years’ experience in assurance practice including financial audit and accounting consulting services.
He has a sound knowledge in CIFRS and CIFRS for SMEs.
He has extensive experiences in providing assurance services to multinational clients and domestic companies in Cambodia. He is dedicated in serving PwC’s clients in various industries, including manufacturing, hospitality, trading and especially financial services (microfinance institutions and commercial banks).
He is the project manager/team member for a number of IFRS Conversion projects provided to banks and MFIs in Cambodia. He’s also conducted a number of technical skills trainings for our Cambodian office, client and public workshop.
Aside from assurance and advisory works, Chamroeun is a member of KH Corporate Reporting Services (KH CRS) for PwC Cambodia
Mr. Hongchhay CHEA
Senior Manager, Assurance PwC Cambodia
Hongchhay is a Senior Manager with 10 years of experience in Assurance, including financial audits, corporate reporting services (CRS) and credit risk related work. He’s been involved in statutory audits, reviews and agreed- upon procedures engagements in various industries such as banking and micro-finance institutions, hotels, retails and consumers, manufacturing and energy (service concession arrangements) in which his main focus is financial services.
He’s been a project team manager for a number of CIFRS conversion projects for commercial and specialised banks (including first-time CIFRS adoption, implementation of CIFRS 16, expected credit loss (ECL) model implementation for CIFRS 9) and CIFRS for SMEs conversion projects for micro-finance institutions and leasing companies in Cambodia.
Moreover, he’s been involved in developing CIFRS 9 governance frameworks, impairment policies, and controls and procedures for commercial banks and accounting policies for corporate entities.
As part of his involvement in KH Corporate Reporting Services (KH CRS), Hongchhay has been performing accounting technical reviews on consolidated and separate financial statements prepared in accordance with CIFRS and CIFRS for SMEs. He also provides his clients accounting advices and his colleagues from Assurance and Deals consultations on accounting matters. In addition, he’s provided accounting trainings to commercial banks, specialised banks and dealers of corporates on topics such as CIFRS (including CIFRS 16), financial statements preparation and CIFRS 9 modelling, Internally with PwC Cambodia, he’s been an instructor for five years providing assurance courses, accounting standards and annual IFRS updates, and ECL audit trainings.
