Mr. Khun Darith

President of KICPAA

It is my distinct pleasure and privilege to be elected and appointed to serve as the new President of The Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA). I look forward to bringing new initiatives and working with our members as well as our partners to build a stronger accounting profession in Cambodia.

We have endured our shared of challenges together over the past few years during COVID-19 global pandemic and together we have successfully overcome these challenges and become stronger than ever.

Together, we have recently celebrated our 20th years anniversary. Over these 20 years, KICPAA has proudly achieved significant milestones for our profession, we have built necessary legal infrastructure, reasonable professional infrastructure and qualified people with competencies and ethics. These achievements have been serving as strong foundation for accounting profession now and enable us to achieve our Vision with Pride and Confident.

With prides of these achievements, we have always thanks with gratitude to our founding members, ex-presidents, ex-vice presidents, ex-governing council members, members and secretariat team for their diligent leadership, strategies, efforts, commitments, dedications, supports and contributions to bring KICPAA and Cambodia accounting profession as we are today.

Looking ahead!

Cambodia’s ambition to become high income country by 2050 and simple question for all of us, what will be the roles of Accounting and Auditing Profession in Cambodia and our strategies toward this ambition?

The accountancy profession has a unique, critical and practical role to play in building stronger and more stable economies in Cambodia, ASEAN and around the globe. And we can only accomplish it through partnership and cooperation among the public and private sectors, the accountancy profession, donor and development agencies and others that we can build strong financial infrastructures– infrastructures that are supported by strong ethical standards, high professional standards and an unwavering commitment to act transparently and accountably.

The Future Outlook is brilliant, there are opportunities but also lots of major challenges and we need to work together in building Comprehensive legal infrastructure, sound professional infrastructure and More qualified people with competencies and ethics that will successfully address the future challenges including economical, technical and technological complexities.

I am confident that we will have all of supports from our members and partners in executing our strategies to achieve these strategic purposes.

On behalf of Governing Council, I wish to thanks everyone for continued support and I am looking forward to work with you all for the interest of Accounting and Auditing Profession in Cambodia and ASEAN.
